Ilijanco Gagovski leads the recently opened Microsoft office in Macedonia. The challenge to envision, setup, lead and grow the first direct investment of a major IT company in Macedonia has been the key motivator in the last 6 years of his professional career. From May 2002 until July 2004 he worked as Business Development Manager of Microsoft in Macedonia, creating the key market prerequisites that led to Microsoft’s decision to open a subsidiary in Macedonia in July 2004, at which time he was also appointed to the position of general manager of the newly opened subsidiary. The development of the core e-government services under the Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Macedonian Government, the introduction of localized versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office in Macedonian and Albanian language, are few of the key achievements of the local Microsoft office under his leadership since July 2004.
In 2008 he worked on the creation and setup of Microsoft Albania, thus broadening his engagement in the IT industry into a regional one.
Ilijanco Gagovski started his professional career in1994, after graduating at the Electro-technical Faculty in Skopje, department of electronics and telecommunications. He spent 6 years as a sales representative and PC Business Unit Manager at a local IBM Alliance company. In year 2000, he took the position of Sales and marketing manager at a local IT company, a distributor of Microsoft and several other renowned IT brands.
He is 41 years old, married, father of two children.
